concerning 1. No worries. On the contrary, everyone here in Germany wears Flecktarn for woodland paintball; therefore, it is very special that I am wearing a Polish camouflage outfit. I want to honor where it comes from by wearing the flag patches.
concerning 2. Yes, I have heard of it, and maybe this might be an option when I am tired of woodland paintball. At the moment, I am happy enough with it. I have started playing last summer, so I am relatively fresh to the game (although I am an "older guy" at age 37)
Airsoft isn't illegal per se in Germany, but there are so many restrictions, playing areas are harrassed by the authorities and closed down, that you cannot really enjoy airsoft in Germany. I believe the authorities don't tolerate something that seems like playing war, and try to ban it as much as possible. Paintball isn't harrassed as much, as the paintballers managed to sell what they are doing as sport to the public. It has a much wider acceptance in the general public, but after some schoolkid shot a couple of people some years back, the politicians tried to ban even paintball - the idea wasn't successful so far, fortunately.
